Small World Dreams is a small, carefully curated, handcrafted homeware and accessories shop focusing on the eco-conscious consumer. Claire Chapman founded her brand four years ago with a passionate objective of trying to make a real difference through the quality of her products and by fostering the ethical treatment of people, society and the environment. Claire believes in quality over quantity, so seasonal runs are limited.
SWD has recently been featured in The Age - The Traveller, Melbourne and Peppermint Magazine. Claire’s hobo leather bag was also nominated as a design finalist in the Etsy Design Awards 2016.
I believe you should be comfortable and feel good with what you wear, shopping with confidence that your purchases are supporting policies and choices working to make the world a little bit better place.
I promote ethical and sustainable production, and conscious consumerism.
Claire also believes in giving back, so a portion of each sale is donated to charity every month. Claire was born in Zimbabwe and is very passionate about wildlife conservation and the people living there. She has committed to donating 5% of every sale at SWD to the Zimbabwe Elephant Nursery, a charity which rehabilitates young elephants until they can go back into the wild and to PEZA TRUST whose purpose is to assist children and unemployed youth from disadvantaged homes in Chimanimani.
